Weekly Photo Challenge: Monument

Just visited Washington, DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Saw lots of amazing monuments, Julia Child’s Kitchen and the Smithsonian Food exhibit! Also ate lots of monumental meals at fantastic DC restaurants including 1789, Blue Duck Tavern and Fiola.

I took about 30! Very fun to see the whole kitchen. She had some interesting things in there – hacksaws and the like. 🙂

Really fun, Jo! Only it’s completely encased by walls and windows. Would love to be able to get inside there!

Thanks, KZ! There are lots of amazing restaurants in DC. The Blueduck Tavern is really nice. I was by myself and ate at the bar next to the CEO of Land o’Lakes Butter. Had the best grits of my life.
